Summer Snow Cone

Summer in the Philippines just keeps on getting hotter and hotter. If I wasn't busy with work, I would have gone on vacation in a cold place/ country.

This month, I have recorded a number of hot days and labeled it “Yellow Flag of HOTNESS :)” along with a yellow post-it! April 3: yellow flag of hotness, April 9: double yellow flag of hotness, April 12: triple yellow flag of hotness and many more hot days according to our weather man.

The ice melt fast! O__O
Mi abuela and I keep on buying ice cream and coke float. Then I realized, I wanted to make mango float, fridge cake or a simple coke float. However, it’s too hot outside. I don’t want to go out. So, I decided to go to the kitchen. This afternoon, I created a home-made snow cone using whatever I found in our kitchen.

Three things. Three steps.

  • Ice
  • Shave ice maker
  • Powdered juice

Just shave the ice, place it on a glass and pour the juice. Done!

I think I’ll create some more snow cone or Halo-Halo in the next days. Or maybe I’ll make the mango float that I was craving for. I’ll share it here. :) Happy summer!
